First CSA Letter

Dear all Chinese family members,             Thank you for the support and passion for setting up our Chinese Student Association! We are the people who are gonna make it happen!

How disappointing it is to see no Chinese associations while Japan, Taiwan and many other Asian Pacific countries have their own club? The totally number of incoming Chinese students is more than ever this year, so we really need to and love to start this association, a family for all cool Chinese people in Babson. WAY TO BE~

If you are very passionate and committed about helping the Chinese Student Association, just like many of  your friends, who've shown great interests on this, PLEASE don't hesitate to send me a email about yourself, things you did in high school and any ideas you have for our association! My advice is, if you have your nicely-written resume for your college application, that will be the best for us to get to know you and see how much you can contribute for our association as one of the 5 or more core leaders.

We are a group of Chinese student consisting of freshmen, exchange students and sophomores. As we continue to contact more upper classmen from China, we will have more the Juniors and Seniors joining in. I am so excited because we are gonna be a big family supporting each other. It is possible at Babson.

I read the information online about registering new club and organization and have all the forms printed out and read. You are more than welcomed to go through them here by clicking:, which will make our future meeting much easier if you know few things about setting up a organization:  https://www3.babson.edu/Offices/CampusLife/student_activities/organizations.cfm

So here is a to-do list for setting up our association so that anyone can start help perfecting the to-do list and make it happen for setting up CSA.

     1. find a group of amazing Chinese student who are passionate and committed to this, also selecting a core leadership group.

     2. make a contact information, introduction and invitation, and send it to everyone.

  1. build our own website for contacts and works of starting up.

(It is not quite ready yet, but you are more than welcomed to check it out and leave CSA official website a message on the homepage~

https://chinesestudentassociation.webnode.com/

You may also see Chinese Students contact info by clicking on Contact Us icon on the left hand up homepge.)

   4. work out objectives, scope and purpose of the club

    5. find a regular meeting place

   6. find a great advicer, faculty or staff who is so passionate about China, trully love and interested in China. If he or she has been to China or have some unique experience about China, that will be the best.

7.discuss and write a charter together, and send the drafts for you to review and commend            11:30

   8. get Anti Hazing Form signed ( It is basically a form to make sure everyone can join our association without being discriminated or challenged. Don't worry about this. )

   9. finish all the forms for registration a organization

So here is what you need to do first.

1. Not so fun but important: Please write me back about yourself,  things you are good at, and your interests in taking a leadership role in CSA. OR anything~

2. Very fun and important: Tomorrow morning at 11:30, we will have our first Chinese Lucheon together as a big Chinese Family~ALL CHINESE STUDENTS IN BABSON~
